and two homework's (today's and next weeks) to complete this work

• It is due on the 7th of October 2005• To gain an effort grade one, you will include everything

that you need to and present your trek well• To reach beyond you need to show you understand the

difference between human and physical features and show you understand why people would want to visit these places.

• You must also show you are aware what you will need to take with you to each place and that you understand how varied South America is

Today:-• In your groups• Decide which person will do which country• Give out relevant sheet to each person• Decide how you will present your trek to the

class on the 7th

• Decide who your trek will be for (older people, school children, families)

• In each country you must visit a human feature, physical feature and say what each are and why. Say what clothes and equipment you will need (check the BBC weather forecast)

Each trek must include all of these• A visit to as many countries as there are group

members. You must visit Brazil!

• An itinerary (outline of your journey, how long you will spend in each place

• Details of all travel arrangements (e.g. flights)

• A map showing your route around south America

• A presentation of your trek to the class in 2 weeks

For each country you should have

• A list of equipment you will need including clothes

• An outline of what the weather will be like (BBC website)

• A presentation of the places you will visit and why ( must include one city and one natural/physical feature e.g. river/lake)

• A diary or log of the trip round that country (interesting things, strange creatures etc)
