1st SPEAKING TEST

Choose a topic of your interest – it can be related to your major or

anything that you find interesting. You will have to prepare a

presentation about it (3 minute long): present your topic and explain it,

bring examples, make sure that your audience understands what you

are saying.

SOME GUIDELINES:

You can bring notes, but you can’t read your entire answer.

You can prepare slides if you desire. But be sure to send them to me by

e-mail beforehand (until the day before the test).

Remember a good answer: needs an introduction; it’s coherent; it

focuses on one topic; needs a conclusion.

REMEMBER: YOU WILL NOT DIE, BE EXPELLED, I WILL NOT RECORD YOUR

PRESENTATION AND UPLOAD IT ONLINE. YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

TO FEAR. IF YOU NEED HELP, YOU CAN ALWAYS E-MAIL ME.

LISTENING:

1) What is the talk mainly about?

2) To whom is the interview intimidating? Why?

3) According to the speaker, what is it that “can make a world

of difference”?

4) To sell yourself and make sure that the company is the right

What do they ask?

6) What should you do if you forget a question?
