! WARNING!
tap the line head against the ground (fig. 9). Lineis automatically released. The blade cuts excessline.
Periodically remove anygrass wound around the brush cutter to preventoverheating of the drive shaft. Grass caughtaround the shaft can become wound under theguard of the grass cutting head, reducing thetool rotation speed (fig. 10). Remove any grasscaught up using a screwdriver or other similartool to allow the shaft to cool correctly and thetool to rotate freely.
When the brush cutter is correctly equipped withthe guard and line head, it can eliminate tallgrass and unsightly weeds in front of fences, walls, foundations, pavements, around trees,etc.. This brush cutter may also be used to elim-inate unwanted vegetation from fields, for easypreparation of the garden or to clear a particulararea of the garden completely.
Even with the guard fitted, cutting around pavements, foundations, walls, etc. can cause above average wear on the line.
• Cut / movement (fig. 11)
Walk at a regular pace, with a side to side move-ment, similar to traditional scything. Do not tiltthe line head during operation. Try cutting asmall area at the correct height. Keep the linehead at a constant distance from the ground toobtain an even cutting height
• Precision cut
Position the edge trimmer straight, slightly tilteduntil the lower part of the head touches theground and the cutting line is in the requiredpoint. Always cut away from the operator. Do notmove the edge trimmer by bringing the line headtowards the operator.
• Cutting beside fences / foundations (fig. 12)
Bring the line head towards fences, posts, rocks, walls, etc. slowly, without hitting them hard.If the line comes into contact with rocks, walls, foundations etc. it may break or wear. If the linegets caught up in fencing it may become sev-ered, breaking suddenly.
