INTRODUÇÃO
O objetivo principal deste Anuario é reunir e consolidar as informações
concernentes às atividades de pesquisa e inovação do corpo docente do
Instituto de Física da Universidade Federal da Bahia (IF-UFBA), referentes ao
ano de 2018.
Neste sentido, o presente levantamento contempla os resultados das
atividades desenvolvidas no âmbito dos departamentos, dos grupos de
pesquisa, das pós-graduações stricto sensu e dos programas de iniciação
científica, e pretende:
possibilitar uma visão panorâmica a respeito da contribuição do IF-
UFBA na geração de conhecimento e no desenvolvimento científico e
tecnológico do Estado da Bahia e do Brasil;
fornecer base para subsidiar avaliações das atividades de pesquisa e
inovação do nosso corpo docente;
ser um recurso de apoio ao planejamento e gestão das atividades de
pesquisa e inovação do IF-UFBA.
As informações contidas neste Anuario foram obtidas a partir dos dados
públicos disponibilizados no Diretório dos Grupos de Pesquisa (CNPq) e nas
plataformas Lattes (CNPq) e Sucupira (CAPES), além das informações
fornecidas pelos docentes. Em particular, na extração e compilação de dados
d a p l a t a f o r m a L a t t e s u t i l i z o u - s e a f e r r a m e n t a S c r i p t L a t t e s
(http://scriptlattes.sourceforge.net).
No ano de 2018, o IF-UFBA contou em seus quadros com 67 servidores
docentes ativos permanentes lotados em três departamentos (Departamentos
de Física Geral, Física do Estado Sólido e Física da Terra e Meio Ambiente) e
20 servidores técnico-administrativos. Na graduação os cursos oferecidos
foram de Licenciatura e Bacharelado em Física (Diurno e Noturno), e na pós-

graduação, os cursos de Mestrado e Doutorado em Física e Mestrado e
Doutorado em Ensino, Filosofia e História das Ciências.
Vale destacar que os indicadores aqui relatados provavelmente não
estão plenos, devido às próprias dificuldades e limitações do processo de
obtenção e extração das informações.
