OAmazonas Film Festival – Mundial do Filmede Aventura –, que está no seu segundo anode realização, é uma das iniciativas que fazem

parte do projeto colocado em prática pelo Governo doEstado para promover e fortalecer a cultura ama-zonense.

Por entendermos que o Amazonas estava maduropara começar a atrair a indústria cinematográfica,que é rica e poderosa, em 2004 resolvemos colocarem prática o projeto do festival. Na preparação dessecaminho, criamos a Casa do Cinema, para darsuporte às produções que tenham a Amazônia comofoco.

A criação da Casa do Cinema, um verdadeirolaboratório onde os artistas marcam ponto deencontro e realizam debates, recebem informações eparticipam de oficinas em interação comprofissionais mais experientes, implantada em 2004,é também o escritório de produção disponível paratoda e qualquer atividade de empresa nacional ouestrangeira realizada em nossa região.

O festival tem por objetivo aproveitar as poten-cialidades naturais do Estado para promover oAmazonas, por meio do turismo, além de atrair umaindústria que no Brasil é emergente.

Nós temos aqui um cenário único no mundo queé a floresta amazônica e queremos que o Amazonasesteja inserido nessa indústria gerando emprego erenda para o nosso povo.

Promovendo a realização desse festival, queremosestimular a produção local, a formação de recursoshumanos na região e apresentar aos profissionais decinema convidados a beleza da floresta amazônica,com seus atraentes cenários. Nós estamos de olho naSétima Arte.

The Amazonas Film Festival - World Adventure

Film -, which is on its second year, is one of the

initiatives that are part of the project put into

action by the State Government to promote and

strengthen the culture of the people of

Amazonas.

For understanding that Amazonas was mature to

attract the cinematographic industry, which is

rich and powerful, in 2004 we decided to put

into practice the festival project. In the

preparation of this path, we created the House

of Movie, to give support to production that has

the Amazon as center.

The creation of the House of movies, a true

laboratory where artists schedule meetings and

debates, receive information and participate of

workshops to interact with more experienced

professionals, also implemented in 2004, it is

also a production office available to all and any

activity performed in our region by national or

foreign companies.

The Festival's goal is to take advantage of the

natural potentialities of the State to promote

Amazonas, through tourism, besides attracting

an industry that is emerging in Brazil.

Here we have the only world scenario which is

the Amazon Jungle, and we want Amazonas to

be included in this industry, generating jobs and

revenue for our people.

Promoting the accomplishment of this festival,

we want to stimulate the local production, the

formation of human resources in the region and

to present to the invited movie professionals the

beauty of the Amazon Jungle, with its attractive

sceneries. We are keeping an eye at the

Seventh Art.

Com a realização da primeira edição do Ama-zonas Film Festival – Mundial do Filme deAventura, o Governo do Estado deu um passo

firme e decisivo para a continuada constituição dopólo cinematográfico do Amazonas, uma regiãocobiçada pela indústria de cinema nacional e inter-nacional.

Esta ação não se limita a atrair grandes estúdiose cineastas, mas promove a divulgação do Estado, ocrescimento da política cultural exitosa, o incrementodo turismo e a promoção dos valores amazonenses.Os números do Festival de 2004 demonstram essaimportância: um público de mais de 400 mil espec-tadores; a geração de 429 empregos diretos; mas,principalmente, 500 jovens participando dos semi-nários técnicos de formação profissional que foram econtinuarão a ser a base do trabalho que vem sendodesenvolvido em relação a todas as manifestaçõesartísticas.

O Governo tem a firme preocupação em pos-sibilitar o desenvolvimento dos nossos talentos e emrevitalizar cada vez mais o movimento do cinemaamazonense para atender de forma profissional oprincipal requisito para a composição final do nossopólo de audiovisual. Por isso valorizamos a Progra-mação Acadêmica que se desenvolve durante todo oano e, especialmente, no curso do festival.

O 2.º Amazonas Film Festival é parte das açõesde políticas públicas e foi definido em conjunto comrepresentantes da nossa comunidade, o que sinalizade forma ainda mais segura para o cumprimento desuas metas, perfeitamente integradas a um conjuntode ações do governo Eduardo Braga que vemempreendendo uma nova jornada para a ampliação econsolidação da política cultural.

With the accomplishment of the first edition of

the Amazonas Film Festival - World Adventure

Film, the State Government took a strong and

decisive step to the continuing growth of the

Amazonas cinematographic pole, a region that

generates greed by the national and

international film industry.

This action is not limited to attract big name

studios or movie makers, but to promote the

State, the successful cultural political growth,

the increment of tourism and the promotion of

values of the people in Amazonas. The

numbers from the 2004 Festival demonstrates

that importance: a public of more than 400

thousand viewers; the generation of 429

direct jobs; but mostly, 500 youngsters

participating in technical seminars of

professional level, which were and continue to

be the base of the work that is being

developed in relation to those artistic shows.

The Government has a strong worry in making

possible the development of our talents and to

revitalize more each time the movement of the

Film in Amazonas to answer in a professional

way the main requirement for the final

composition of our audiovisual pole. For this

reason we value the Academic Program that is

developed throughout the year and specially

during the course of the festival.

The 2nd Amazonas Film Festival is part of the

public political actions and it was defined

together with representatives of our

community, which signalize in a more

assuring way of the fulfillment of its goals,

perfectly integrated to a group of actions of

Eduardo Braga´s Government who has been

undertaking a new journey for the widening

and consolidation of cultural politics.

There is nothing like Amazonas Film Festival –

its theme, its location and the involvement of

the authorities sponsoring it make it unique.

Obviously like any other festival it features

films, grants awards, organises events and

throws parties with the highest professional

standards. However it also seeks to establish

genuine and deep links with the movie

industry professionals.

It also seeks to make each of the guests an

ambassador of this unique and unparalleled

region whose future will determine our own.

Um dos objetivos do Estado do Amazonas, aolançar no ano passado o Mundial do Filme deAventura foi chamar a atenção dos profis-

sionais internacionais da sétima arte sobre asextraordinárias possibilidades oferecidas por estaregião. Durante a filmagem do meu filme “AmazonForever”, pude constatar pessoalmente: a belezaexcepcional das paisagens e dos cenários defilmagem, a qualidade das instalações hoteleiras, doaeroporto internacional e dos meios de transporteslocais, a eficácia dos profissionais de cinema jáformados, o interesse dos jovens por esta profissão,os custos de filmagem muito competitivos em nívelmundial, enfim, e sobretudo, a gentileza,amabilidade e a lealdade dos amazonenses.

Espero então, que esta segunda edição doAmazonas Film Festival dê mais um passo emdireção ao seu reconhecimento internacional umavez que ela testemunha uma vontade cultural epolítica de dar continuidade aos esforços jácomeçados.

Desejo a todos um excelente festival.

Last year the State of Amazonas launched a

film festival in order to, among other things,

draw the international film professionals'

attention on the outstanding possibilities this

region was to offer. Actually during the

shooting of my film “Amazon Forever” I

personally witnessed the breathtaking beauty

of the sites and shooting locations, the great

hotel facilities, international airport and local

means of transportation, the well-trained and

efficient film crew, the keen interest shown by

the younger generation for this trade, the

highly competitive shooting costs, and last but

not least the Amazonians' kindness, warm-

heartedness and loyalty.

I therefore hope that the second edition of the

Amazonas Film Festival will help them come a

step closer to international recognition

because it proves the region's cultural and

political determination to carry on with the

undertaking already underway.

I wish you all an excellent festival.

Nascida na Tunísia, Claudia Cardinale iniciasua carreira no cinema, em 1958, com o filme“Goha”, de Jacques Baratier e mais tarde, no

mesmo ano, atua em “Os Eternos Desconhecidos”, deMario Monicelli. Durante os anos 60, protagonizamuitos filmes italianos incluindo “A Moça com aValise” (1960), de Valerio Zurlini, os clássicos deLuchino Visconti como “Rocco e seus Irmãos” (1960)e “O Leopardo” (1963), e “Fellini Oito e Meio” (1963),de Federico Fellini. Também trabalha com váriosdiretores europeus como Abel Gance (“The Battle ofAusterlitz”, 1960) e Philippe de Broca (“Cartouche”,1962). Lança também sua carreira em Hollywoodatuando em “O Mundo do Circo” (1963), de HenryHathaway, “A Pantera Cor-de-Rosa” (1964), de BlakeEdwards e “Os Profissionais” (1966), de RichardBrooks. Born in Tunisia, Claudia Cardinale makes her

1960s, she stars in many Italian films

including “Girl with a Suitcase” (1960) by

Valerio Zurlini and Luchino Visconti's classics

“Rocco and His Brothers” (1960), “The

Leopard” (1963) and Federico Fellini's “8½”

(1963). She also works with several European

directors like Abel Gance ("The Battle of

Austerlitz", 1960) and Philippe de Broca

("Cartouche", 1962). She also begins a career

in Hollywood and plays in “Circus World”

(1963) by Henry Hathaway, “The Pink

Panther” (1964) by Blake Edwards and “The

Professionals” (1966) by Richard Brooks. In

1968, she works under the direction of Sergio

Leone in the international success “Once

Upon a Time in the West". In 1982, she plays

with Klaus Kinski in Werner Herzog's

“Fitzcarraldo” shot in Manaus. Five years later,

she stars in “History” by Luigi Comencini and

“A Man in Love” by Diane Kurys. In the early

90's, she plays in Henri Verneuil's two films

Nascido em Toronto, Canadá, em 1926,Norman Jewison se forma pela Universidadede Toronto e estuda piano e teoria da música

no Royal Conservatory. Após acabar seus estudos, semuda para Londres onde começa a escrever scripts ea trabalhar como ator para a BBC. De volta aToronto, entre 1952 e 1958, dirige shows de televisãopara a Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Continuaa realizar os melhores trabalhos para TV quando écontratado pela CBS em Nova Iorque, vencendo trêsEmmy Awards entre 1958 e 1961. Em 1962, dirigeseu primeiro longa-metragem “40 Pounds of Trouble”estrelado por Tony Curtis, e um ano depois torna-seprodutor executivo do “Judy Garland Show”. Em1965, filma seu quinto longa-metragem “A Mesa doDiabo” com Steve McQueen. Born in Toronto, Canada in 1926, Norman

Jewison graduates from the University of

Toronto and studies piano and music theory at

the Royal Conservatory. After his studies, he

moves to London where he starts writing

scripts and acting for the BBC. Back to

Toronto, he directs TV shows for the Canadian

Broadcasting Corporation television service

between 1952 and 1958. He continues to turn

out top-ranked TV work when he is signed by

CBS in New York, winning three Emmy Awards

between 1958 and 1961.

In 1962, he directs his first feature film “40

Pounds of Trouble” starring Tony Curtis and

one year later he becomes executive producer

of the “Judy Garland Show". In 1965, he

shoots his fifth feature film “The Cincinnati

Kid” with Steve McQueen. Many of his films

deal with racial issues discrimination like the

acclaimed “In the Heat of the Night” (1967)

starring Sidney Poitier and Rod Steiger which

wins five Oscars including Best Picture. In

1968, he works with Steve McQueen and Faye

Dunaway and directs “The Thomas Crown

Affair". Throughout his career, he also adapts

hit stage shows to the big screen beginning

with the Oscar winner “Fiddler on the Roof”

(1971), followed by the rock opera “Jesus

Christ Superstar” (1973). In 1987, his film

“Moonstruck” earns Cher an Oscar for Best

Actress and he receives Best Director Prize at

the Berlin Film Festival. In 1986, Norman

Jewison founds the Canadian Film Centre, an

advanced film and television training institute,

located in Toronto. In 1999, he works with

Denzel Washington and directs “The

Hurricane", the true story of Rubin

“Hurricane” Carter, a champion boxer wrongly

convicted of murder. In 2003, he directs the

thriller “The Statement” starring Michael

Caine.

Born in Stockholm in 1946, Lasse Hallström works for the Swedish television before

making his directorial debut in 1975 with “A Guy and a Gal”. He makes an

international breakthrough with “My Life as a Dog” in 1985 before moving to

The Guató Indians are an ethnic

group scattered in the region of

Pantanal. Known as “canoeiros”

(canoemen), these Indians live in

constant contact with the water. The

presence and absence of memory in

Guató culture are used to instigate

the rescue of the identity of an

Indian population considered extinct.

From the north to the south of

Siberia, people have kept their roots

and perpetuated their ancient

culture of nomadic animal breeders.

Three children of the steppes will

selvas do Amazonas. Parteiras tradicionaisassistem jovens grávidas a dar à luz graças aosseus conhecimentos ancestrais, humildementedescritos como “presente de Deus”.

Acada ano, cerca de 100.000 pessoas partemde todas as partes do Amazonas paraassistir, em Parintins, à competição

ancestral entre dois bois: o Azul (Caprichoso) e oVermelho (Garantido). Durante todo o ano, cadahabitante ensaia a coreografia e se submete àdisciplina necessária à vitória do seu boi.

In Brazil, many communities called the

“Ribeirinhos” (river dwellers) are

spread out along the rivers and

jungles of the Amazon. Young pregnant

women depend on traditional

midwives who accompany them

through birth giving thanks to their

ancestral knowledge which they

humbly describe as a “gift from god”.

Every year, around 100,000 people

leave every part of the Brazilian

Amazon to watch an ancestral

competition in Parintins between two

oxen: the Blue (Caprichoso) and the

Red (Garantido). All over the year, each

inhabitant rehearses the choreography

and submits to the discipline necessary

to the victory of his ox.

– the first man to achieve flight in a

heavier-than-air object and,

arguably, the single most important

figure in the history of aviation.

Life on Earth has experienced five

great extinctions. The worst occurred

about 250 million years ago during

the Permian period. Our ancestors at

that time were mammal-like reptiles.

The super-plume theory attempts to

explain this extinction with a

gigantic vertical flow of magma in

Earth’s mantle.

Oengenheiro aéreo, Dr. Graham Dorrington,embarca numa viagem às cataratas deKaieteur, no coração da Guiana,

esperando pilotar seu dirigível acima do topo dasárvores. Há doze anos atrás, uma expediçãosemelhante acabou em desastre ocasionando amorte de seu amigo Dieter Plage.

climbers decide to set up a camp in

the Southern Extreme of Tierra Del

Fuego (Land of Fire), one of the most

inhospitable and forgotten

landscapes in the world. Having to

cope with constant rain, cold

weather, snow and strong winds, a

film crew is there to document the

expedition. Its ambitious goal:

climbing Monte Sarmiento, a little

explored mountain known for its

beauty, isolation and dangers…

Airship engineer Dr. Graham

Dorrington embarks on a trip to the

giant Kaieteur Falls in the heart of

Guyana, hoping to fly his helium-

filled invention above the tree tops.

Twelve years ago, a similar

expedition ended in disaster when

Dorrington’s friend Dieter Plage fell

to his death.

the digital documentary TwentyTen (2001), co

directed with Tata Amaral, and the short length

Poem: City (1986), We want the air waves!

(1986), Hip-Hop SP (1990) among others.

He is the creator and organizer of the

Audiovisual show of São Paulo (a yearly event

since 1987), an associated programmer of

the São Paulo International Festival of Short

length films, an assistant programmer of “It is

Francisgleydson is the owner Cine

Holiúdy, a very humble movie

theater in the middle of nowhere in

the country side of northeast of

Brazil, back in the 70’s. He

multiplies himself into many duties

in order to bring the movie magic to

the audience. A sudden problem

with the old projector would make

him face the challenge of his life:

calm down the anxious and angry

audience and tell the rest of the film.

An easy task for the clever

have seen the film! Cine Holiúdy is a

nostalgic comedy tale of a type of

cinema that no long exist in Brazil.

A public telephone insists on ringing

at an avenue in Porto Alegre. Isabel,

a young blind girl, answers the

into a fantasy that will help her

Cineasta nascido em Manaus, Amazonas,graduado em Cinema pela Escola deComunicações e Artes da Universidade de São

Paulo. Seus principais trabalhos são Produção,Argumento, Roteiro e Direção dos filmes de longa-metragem: “Asa Branca – Um Sonho Brasileiro” (1981),“Brasa Adormecida” (1987), Bocage o triunfo do Amor”(1998), Curtas-metragens principais: “Um ClássicoDois em Casa Nenhum Jogo Fora” (1968), o primeirofilme realizado na ECA/USP); “The Southern ContestMyth”, “Hang-five” (ambos de 1969), “Porta do Céu”(1975); “Rasga Coração” (1984).

Tanto os longas quanto os curtas foramamplamente premiados, aqui e no Exterior. Além doargumento e roteiro de seus próprios filmes, foi co-autor de “Capitalismo Selvagem”, dirigido por AndréKlotzel. Tem sua biografia publicada: “Djalma LimongiBatista – Livre Pensador”, escrita por Marcel Nadale,para a “Coleção Aplauso”, em 2005.

Escreve “Gualter – tributo”, biografia de seu irmãoe maior colaborador, Gualter Limongi Batista.Universidade Federal do Amazonas, 2005.

Em 2005, roteiro para Cinema de seu próximolonga-metragem: “Rio Melodia”.

Em 1980, fundou com o irmão a produtora decinema e eventos culturais, Cinema do Século XXI,ainda em funcionamento.

A film maker born in Manaus, Amazonas,

graduated from the School of

Communications and Arts of the University of

Sáo Paulo. His main works are: Production,

Argument, Script and Directing of long length

films: “White wing - A Brazilian dream”

(1981), “Sleeping Ashes” (1987), Bocage the

triumph in Love” (1998). Main short length

movies: “A classic two at home and no game

out” (1968), the first film made at ECA/USP;

“The Southern Contest Myth", “Hang-five”

(both from 1969), Heaven's gate (1975); “Tear

a heart” (1984).

Both long and short length movies were

awarded here and abroad. Besides argument

and script of his own films, he was the co-

author of “Savage Capitalism", directed by

André Klotzel. His biography was published:

“Djalma Limongi Batista - Free thinker",

written by Marcel Nadale, for the “Applause

collection” in 2005.

Also writes “Gualter - tribute", a biography of

his brother and biggest collaborator, Gualter

Limongi Batista, Federal University of

Amazonas, 2005.

In 2005, the script for his next long length

film: “Rio Melodia".

In 1980, opened with his brother a movie and

event producing business, Movie in the XXI

Century", still in business.

Procurando com sofreguidão não perder uma infantil alegria de viver, ereinventando o mundo à sua maneira, Helena Morley é o diamante mais raro de Diamantina.

A short time after the abolition of the slavery and the proclamation of the republic in Brazil, Helena

Morley (Ludmila Dayer) begins to write her diary, that reveals her universe and of an adolescent

country as a girl. On that moment of her life Helena is thin, ungraceful and freckled, besides feeling

ugly. She is not a good student nor is she a well behaved child like her sister Luizinha, and held the

nickname of “ storm ". But Helena, as no other girl of Diamantina, writes. It is in her diary that Helena

debauches and exposes other people´s assumed virtues. Eagerly trying not to lose an infantile

happiness of living, and reinventing the world to fit her way, Helena Morley is the rarest diamond of

Diamantina.

Thiago é o comandante de um “grupo de ação” de uma organização deesquerda, que está no momento debilitada e estuda um retorno à luta política. Rosa é o contato deThiago com o mundo, sendo agora ainda mais importante por estar ferido. Com o passar do tempoPedro passa a ficar preocupado com a segurança deles, adotando um comportamento estranho ecolocando dúvidas em Thiago se ele não seria um traidor.

Thiago (Leonardo Medeiros) and Rosa (Débora Duboc) are two young people who are militant of

armed fight, that dream with a social revolution in Brazil. After being wounded by a bullet, in an

ambush by the police, Thiago needs to hide at Pedro´s (Michel Bercovitch) house, an architect who

shared their beliefs. Thiago is the head of an “action group” of an organization from the left, which

at the moment has gotten weak and studies a way to return to the political fight. Rosa is Thiago´s

contact with the world, being more important now that he is hurt. As time goes by Pedro starts to

worry about their safety, adopting a strange behavior and putting doubts in Thiago whether he could

be a traitor.

O documentário Teatro Amazonas é umresgate histórico de sua construção, vida erepresentação dos anseios do povo deManaus pelo teatro, dança e música. São 30minutos de rica documentação e imagensinéditas revelando que bem antes de suaconstrução, a cidade já vivia uma eferves-cente atividade cultural. Depois de 100 anosde sua inauguração o Teatro Amazonas é arepresentação mais eloqüente desses anseioscada vez mais consolidados. “Uma rapsódiafeita em pedra e aço”.

Na virada do século XX, o ciclo da borracha naAmazônia prometia fortuna rápida para quemtivesse ousadia. Ou também um sonho. BrianSweeney Fitzgerald tinha os dois. Chamado deFitzcarraldo pelos nativos que nãoconseguiam pronunciar seu nome, ele tem aobsessão de trazer a ópera para a pequenacidade de Iquitos, na Amazônia peruana, ondetenta a fortuna como tantos outros. E, pararealizar seu desejo, move montanhas numaaventura sem precedentes no coração daselva amazônica.

The documentary about the Amazonas

Theater is a historical redemption of its

construction, life and representation of the

desires of the people from Manaus about the

theater, dance and music. There are 30

minutes of rich documentation and images

never seen before revealing that even quite

some time before its building, the city already

lived in an effervescent cultural activity. One

hundred years after its opening, the

Amazonas Theater is the most eloquent

representation of these desires each time

more consolidated. “A rhapsody built in steel

and stone”.

At the turn of Century XX, the rubber cycle in the

Amazon promised quick fortune for those who

dared. Or it was also a dream. Brian Sweeney

Fitzgerald had both. Called Fitzcarraldo by the

natives that could not pronounce his name, he had

the obsession to bring an opera to the small city of

Iquitos, in the Peruvian Amazon, where he chances

to get a fortune like many others. And, to realize his

dream, he moves mountains in an adventure without

precedents in the heart of the Amazonian jungle.

O FÓRUM NACIONAL DE ORGANIZADORES DEEVENTOS AUDIOVISUAIS BRASILEIROS – FÓRUMDOS FESTIVAIS, ESTABELECE O SEU CÓDIGO DEÉTICA A SER SEGUIDO E RESPEITADO POR TODOS OSSEUS MEMBROS.

1. A finalidade em si de um festival é promover o produtoaudiovisual, respeitando-o como manifestação artística,formando e informando o público.

2. O festival deve proporcionar a excelência técnica e ainfra-estrutura necessárias para garantir a integridadefísica e a boa apresentação das obras em qualquersuporte material, bitola, formato ou duração.

3. O festival deve garantir aos autores e/ou detentores deseus direitos a contratação de seguro contra eventuaisdanos e sinistros que possam vir a ocorrer da chegadada obra até o momento de sua devolução, ou garantir –por meios próprios – a integridade das obras.

4. O festival deve definir o seu perfil específico, estabelecerum regulamento escrito, torná-lo público e cumprí-lo,respeitando o calendário de festivais existentes e oseventos já estabelecidos. As informações constantesem quaisquer documentos produzidos pela organizaçãodo festival, serão consideradas oficiais e de responsa-bilidade dos mesmos, devendo ser encaminhadas àsecretaria do Fórum.

5. O festival deve priorizar a participação de artistas etécnicos e outros profissionais diretamente envolvidosna produção e na promoção das obras apresentadas,além de garantir tratamento igualitário aos participantesda mesma categoria.

6. O festival deve assegurar a liberdade de expressão, nãoaceitando qualquer tipo de censura.

7. O festival deve garantir a transparência na sua seleção,notificando com antecedência – ou seja, antes dadivulgação da sua programação oficial – os repre-sentantes dos títulos selecionados e não selecionados.

8. O festival deve assegurar em suas publicações dadoscorretos e completos sobre as obras selecionadas, bemcomo os contatos e endereços de seus representantes.

9. Os festivais devem envidar esforços para promover amais ampla cooperação, garantindo a troca deinformações entre os eventos, a colaboração técnica elogística.

10. Os festivais membros devem promover e fortalecer asposições assumidas pelo Fórum dos Festivais.

THE NATIONAL FORUM OF ORGANIZERS OF

BRAZILIAN AUDIOVISUAL EVENTS - FORUM OF THE

FESTIVALS, GATHERED IN RECIFE, ON MARCH 27th,

2000, AND IT ESTABLISHES A CODE OF ETHICS TO BE

FOLLOWED AND RESPECTED BY ALL ITS MEMBERS.

1. The purpose of a festival itself is to promote the

audiovisual product, respecting it as an artistic show,

forming and informing the public.

2. The festival should provide the technical excellence and

the necessary infrastructure to guarantee the physical

integrity and the good presentation of the works in any

support such as material, gauges, format or duration.

3. The festival should guarantee the authors and/or the

holders of their rights, the contracting of insurance

services against eventual damages and sinister that can

come to happen from the arrival of the work to the moment

of its return, or to guarantee - by its own means - the

integrity of the work.

4. The festival should define its specific profile, to establish

a written regulation, to turn it public and comply with it,

respecting the calendar of existent festivals and events

already scheduled. The constant information produced

in any documents by the organization of the festival, will

be considered official and of responsibility of the same,

and should be forwarded to the secretariat of the Forum.

5. The festival should prioritize the participation of artists,

technicians and other professionals directly involved in

the production and promotion of the work presented,

besides guaranteeing equal treatment to the

participants of the same category.

6. The festival should assure the freedom of expression,

not accepting any type of censorship.

7. The festival should guarantee transparency in its

selection, notifying in advance - in other words, before

the advertisement of its official programming - the

representatives of the titles selected or not.

8. The festival should assure in its publications correct and

complete data on the selected works, as well as the

contacts and addresses of its representatives.

9. The festival-members should endeavor efforts to

promote the widest cooperation, guaranteeing the

exchange of information among the events, the

technical and logistic collaboration.

10. The festival-members should promote and strengthen

the positions assumed by the Forum of the Festivals.
