Project summary In the scope of the performed work at the level of Accounting and Information Management to Enatur, we made the inventory of all the administrative and accounting procedures in force aimed to understand the failures of the financial management report. Thus, we visited and analysed all Pousadas de Portugal (45 units) at the level of these processes, and then made a report of the spotted anomalies and recommended solutions. The final aim of this work was to give Enatur – Pousadas de Portugal, both in its headquarters and its 45 units a reliable and suited Information Management System. This work was considered crucial and its implementation by Gesbanha was decisive to make the Contract of Concession of Inns Network to Grupo Pestana once it made possible to Enatur’s Administration to make the Privatization Public Contest.

Project summary In the scope of the work performed at the level of accounting and information management support to Sodia, we analysed all the administrative and accounting procedures in force in the former Renault plant in Setúbal making a Manual of Administrative Procedures and giving computer systems and interfaces that “revolutionized” the modus operandi of the administrative structure inherent to information process related to the daily production of 110 Clio cars by 600 collaborators. With the administrative structure of the former Renault plant we could implement, with the coordination and support of Gesbanha, an accounting and financial information system considered responsible for the great results of the Administration in the Business Management which gave to the Portuguese government some surplus values quite interesting, known today by all.

Project summary Design, execution and coordination of the services in the accounting, tax and payroll areas; Reporting to the Financial Supervision Entities jointly with the Administration and the Financial Director, making regular meetings in a way to analyse and monitor the developed actions. BANCO BIC was the first bank, in Portugal, to make accounting, financial and payroll outsourcing with excellent results and allowed to have an administrative and accounting structure reduced but with high indexes of efficiency between April 2008 and June 2013.

Current Relation: 2013-2015 Support to the accounting department of Banco BIC through two boards of Gesbanha.

Project summary To make the Procedures Handbook to the Financial and Budget Services Management of HSM, to support the process of closing accounts of the year 2004, introduction of an Accounting Analytical Matrix System (services/activities) and after consulting to the Financial Board in the administrative, accounting, and financial areas. This work in HSM was considered pioneer in the Healthcare Sector allowing HSM’s Administration to have the operational and financial information considered suited to accomplishment of the requirements related with the Program Contract signed with the Health Ministry based on which the payments to HSM were made relatively to the hired production and the foreseen results;

Observations Angel investment is the start-up’s primary financing source in several countries around the globe, but, even so, it is not known because angel investors many times aren’t visible. Latin America, and especially Brazil, is one of the regions that will witness a tremendous increase in terms of angel investments, in the next decade.

Explanation Startup Azores is a measure taken by Azores government in the scope of the Regional Plan for Entrepreneurship in Azores which intends to attract projects in their beginning and with high growth potential and qualified entrepreneurs in certain knowledge areas, considered strategic, to begin their start-ups on Azores, using the region as a platform to reach the global market.

We intend that the selected companies in the several annual editions in the scope of the project Startup Azores, contribute to incite the local economy in preselected areas due to their potential of impact in the business reinforcement, namely SME which are sources of innovation and technological advancement.

The final objective of project Startup Azores is to put Azores as an innovation and entrepreneurship reference hub in the Atlantic space.

Explanation Digital marketing created new challenges in the way we reach the recipients of our messages. Explanation Having in mind the principle that the social network LinkedIn allows to interact in a professional context with a set of people that that share the same interests it’s interesting to potentiate the relationships that that that set of professionals have. At this level it’s important to evidence that I have daily access to proposals of entrepreneurs that contact me aimed to obtain capital to their projects in the same manner as proposals from BA colleagues of several countries that invite me to participate in projects as an investor in syndicated operations. Naturally that the advantages associated to this relationship capital allows us to that when an entrepreneur reaches us with a presentation as a reference is because someone I trust already analysed that entrepreneur. Between 2000 and 2014 raised over 26 million euro near venture capital companies, corporate venture, business angels and financial entities which allowed over 20 national start-ups input dynamics into their business projects.

Responsible for implementing the entrepreneurship teaching method “learning by doing” in 330 Portuguese schools in elementary, middle, and high schools levels, in 85 municipalities from which there was the involvement between 2006 and 2015 of 2148 professors and 70.830 students.
