Qual a maneira mais eficaz de intensificaro interesse pela
literatura e pela leitura doaluno do Curso de Letras, para que ele
demonstremajor capacidade de articular a expressolingustica e
literria com propriedadecomo futuro profissional da rea? Esta uma
interrogao habitual na trajetria daautora, como professora de
Teoria Literriae serviu como pano de fundo para a construodesta
pesquisa.
A investigao teve como objeto de estudoa Teoria da Carnavalizao
de MikhailBakhtin, subsidiada por renomados autorese estudiosos
dessa teoria, referenciados no
texto.A pesquisa emprica foi realizada com professorese com
alunos do quarto ano do

e
uma particular. O problema e a problemticaenvolveram experincias
da professora e demestres da Instituio sobre a Teoria
daCarnavalizao,a prpria teoria, um programade auto-avaliao, com
seminrios e debates,com aulas em escolas de ensino mdio numaforma
deavaliao de sua eficcia.Este estudo, de natureza qualitativa,
mostrouque a anlise de obras luz da Carnavalizaosofreu um
estranhamento inicial aoser empregada, mas desvelou como
possvelnovo paradigma de ensino de literatura brasileira,respaldada
nas influncias do carnaval,da festa, do riso, da stira, da pardia,
da
ambivalncia e da cosmoviso. Os objetivostero sido alcanados ao
se apresentar umacontribuio para melhorar a formao doprofessor de
Literatura e estimular o aluno,futuro professor, a desenvolver a
capacidadede leitura e interpretao, com ajuda da Teoriada
Carnavalizao.
Among students of Literature Courses whatis the better way to
raise interest in literatureand reading in order to achieve a
proper articulatelanguage and literature expressions aspropriety of
the future career? The author is aLiterature Theory Professor, and
this has beenher main concern in most of her works.The aim of this
investigation is the Mikhail
Bakhtins Carnivalization theory, that has beenalready studied by
several and known authoThe empirical research took place among
teachersand 4th year students of the LiteratureCourse of the Dom
Bosco Educational
Association,and also, with teachers and students fromother three
kinds of schools: local, state andprivate. The problem and the
problematic wereconstructed through the teachers experienceson the
Carnivalization Theory, like a self-evaluationprogramme, with
seminars, debates anddiscussions in classes, in a way of testing
itsefficiency.
Despite the fact that in the beginning of thisqualitative
investigation, the Carnivalizationtheory was suspiciously regarded
in taking inaction, it was clear that it raised a new
possibleparadigm in the teaching of Brazilian Literature,which is
influenced by the Carnival, theparty, the laugh, the satyr, the
ambivalence andthe cosmovison. This paper will achieve is maingoal,
if, through the Carnivalization theory, willbe able to contribute
to the improvement of the
literature teachers training and to the stimulationof the future
teachers in developing theirreading and their interpretation
capacities.
