O inglês é um idioma de grande importância no mundo globalizado de hoje. Está presente em nossa vida diária, na TV, no cinema, na Internet, nas músicas, nos livros, nas revistas etc.

Há muito tempo, tornou-se um dos principais meios de comunicação no turismo, no comércio mundial, nas competições esportivas, nos congressos sobre ciência e tecnolo-gia, nos meios diplomáticos, nos encontros de líderes mundiais etc. Por isso, cada vez mais pessoas estudam e falam inglês.

Com o objetivo de despertar em você o gosto pelo idioma inglês, tivemos a preocupa-ção de abordar textos variados e que se relacionam com sua vida.

2 Que tal encenar o diálogo inicial da lição? Uma aluna faz o papel da Jéssica e um aluno o de Marcel. Usem os próprios nomes. Vocês podem usar outras expressões como Hi ou Hello no começo do diálogo, e So long ou See you later na despedida.
