Our 2013 issue features articles on such diverse subjects as historic preservation and urban development in Gualist France, and personality testing the 1930s and the development of mass society. 3) A Cultural History of Emotions in the Medieval Age: In Public: Collectivities and Polities

Expressions of Interest Sought for Essay Contribution We are seeking expressions of interest from history scholars interested in participating in an important new project in the History of the Emotions, a six-volume collection entitled The Cultural History of the Emotions to be published by Bloomsbury. The collection will span antiquity to the present day and each volume will be arranged into the same thematic chapters: Medical and Scientific Understandings; Religion and Spirituality; Music and Dance; Drama; The Visual Arts; Literature; In Private: The Individual and the Domestic Community; and In Public: Collectivities and Polities. We, Juanita Feros Ruys (University of Sydney) and Clare Monagle (University of Monash), have been contracted as the editors of the second volume of this series, A Cultural History of the Emotions in the Medieval Age, which will cover the period 350-1300. We are seeking a contributor to provide the chapter ‘In Public: Collectivities and Polities’. Each chapter is to be a maximum of 9 000 words, including notes and references, and to span the full period of the volume (350-1300), across Western Europe. The aim of each chapter is to provide a coverage of the current state of research on emotions in that field, so as to provide an accessible point of entry to scholars regarding emotions research across time and themes. The timeframe for submission of individual chapters is July 31st, 2014, with a view to

Modalités de soumission Type de communication : communications orales et/ou posters. Le comité scientifique orientera peut-être certaines communications vers l’une ou l’autre approche lors de son examen L’adéquation des communications à la thématique « petite gens » sera un critère très important pour la sélection des communications. Les textes portant sur « le monde rural » en général ne seront pas retenus. Les communications peuvent être présentées au cœur du thème ou sur ses marges communes avec les autres thèmes du colloque. Elles peuvent aussi s’inscrire en même temps dans deux (ou plus) des thématiques proposées. En fonction du pré-programme en 8 thèmes le comité scientifique du colloque examinera les propositions de communication. Ces propositions, sous forme de déclaration d’intention rédigée sur une page, devront présenter formellement les critères suivants :

• Titre court et explicite + sous-titre (2 lignes maximum). • Objectifs de l'intervention (ou enjeux et perspectives). • Sources, méthodes (ou substrat documentaire ou expérimental). • 5 mots clés. • Numéro du thème souhaité pour inscrire une communication • Nom et prénom, profession (éventuellement titulature), laboratoire ou organisme de

HORIZONTE 2020. Os peritos terão como principal função avaliar propostas e monitorizar a evolução deste programa de financiamento. Toda a informação relativa ao concurso está disponível AQUI. A COM não indicou a data limite para a candidatura mas esta deverá ser feita o mais depressa possível de forma a garantir a seleção para as primeiras Calls do Horizonte 2020 que serão lançadas a 11 de Dezembro de 2013. Aconselhamos especial cuidado na escolha das palavras-chave descritivas da sua área de especialização: quanto mais alinhadas com os Programas de Trabalho (2014-2015) e com os objectivos da COM para os 1ª concursos do H2020 maior a probabilidade de seleção como perito no Horizonte 2020. 2) ANÚNCIO PARA INVESTIGADOR(A) O SOCIUS – Centro de Investigação em Sociologia Económica e das Organizações (ISEG) – tem aberto concurso para contratação de um/a Investigador/a (na modalidade de prestação de serviços) no âmbito do Projecto «Tarde Demais para Empreender? – O empreendedorismo como forma de participação das pessoas com +50 anos», com o N.º 000829402013 e financiado pelo Programa Operacional de Assistência Técnica do Fundo Social Europeu (POAT/FSE).
