A well-publicized and well-attended 12 days TEFL workshop-5663 was held from June 02 to 13,2014 in The Deptt. Of Education, The IUB organized by AIOU, Bahawalpur. The workshop was attended by 55 students from Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalnagar and Bahawalpur Region. The Resource Persons were from The IUB. All the sessions were addressed by the renowned scholars, followed by lively Q & A technique.

The Concluding Ceremony was held in the Vice Chancellor’s Conference Hall. This

session was attended by AIOU Personnel, invited guests from several think tanks, learned bodies and media officials.

Addressing to the Concluding Ceremony as a Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad stated that TEFL is the best suited course to acquire new skills and techniques for sharing best practices & challenges in the field. He appreciated the points delivered in the Presentation of the workshop Co-ordinator Prof. M. Safdar Bhatti. His lecture was followed by a Q/A session which was highly appreciated by the audience and the participants regarded it to be very informative and interesting.

The 12 days event was packed with productive and exciting opportunities for

professional development through interactive & innovative sessions on a variety of topics as well as moderated discussions on pressing issues concerning ELT. The workshop proceedings were also widely reported in the local & national print & electronic media.
