Unsuccessful attempts were made to clean this modified-asphalt bundle using hydro-blasting for the period of 5 shifts.

Valero planned to dispose of this exchanger.

Bryan demonstrates how the process has loosened the adherence of this modified, polymer asphalt on the tubes.

After 5 hours the contaminates can be peeled straight off the tubes

After 7 hours, much of the contamination has fallen off into the bath

The bundle was sprayed down with a 5kpsi water rinse for 30 minutes to remove all remaining, but loosened debris.
