A- Read the text. Answer the questions. Write complete sentences. Police Officer: Were you in the shopping centre all morning, Mel?
Mel: Well, I arrived there about ten o’clock. I was doing some shopping in the
department store.
Police officer: What did you see there?
Mel: I saw two girls – they where about fifteen.
Police officer: What were they doing?
Mel: They were putting some jewellery in their bags. They didn’t pay for it.
Police officer: What happened next?
Mel: I saw a security guard – he was watching the girls too. Then the girls started
running. The security guard chased them but he didn’t catch them – they were
running really fast.
Police officer: Can you describe the girls?
Mel: One of them was small and had blonde hair. She was wearing jeans and a red
jacket, and she was carrying a white bag. I think the other one was wearing black
trousers, but I can’t remember exactly.
Police officer: Ok, Mel. Thank you for your help.
