This is wrong to let ONE DEVELOPER to override Critical Areas Ordinance, all because he wants too much

development on his property. This is a terrible precedent for King County. We must uphold our ideals,

and protect the ENVIRONMENT first. "'~~~~~",)fJsberi~s. Eien\tsin2le-salmon who travers up,the 500s' creek must pass-through or along this Race.way",.;;:.!,..... ".'

Pler .CAO was created for this very situation. One landslide is all it wil take, and this rezone proposal allows

Pacific Raceways to cut trees on steep slopes which will allow landslides, on slopes that have already

suffered major failures. This proposal also allows more wetlands to be filled in, allows the developer toreduce buffers with neighboring properties. There is not one surface storm water pond on over 300

acres. This is questionable treatment and storage of surface water runoff, and storm water is already

running down the slopes into the creek from giant French drains installed around 1996.

And since this developer does his permit requests in parts he has not even got a MASTER DRAINAGE

PLAN. ~ll~InG~'1lØa(¡~1IrW6RlflQltif3riti~ï;~ili;e~s:allcf~ih~Sø.QStÆte~$iawital.."'fff

~",IlE;~ËI!~Sfæ. Do not abdicate your responsibilty as elected leaders.

This Racetrack has been there for decades, true. I am not saying to close the racetrack, but it should notbe allowed to expand, it is not appropriate for the location. Please put this Ordinance in the trash canand stop wasting public money on it. It wil not stand UP in court.

This is NOT FAIR to other King County residents who obey the law, leave their trees, don't fill in their

wetlands. As one individual, I had to spend about 4K dollars to shore up a tree that was leaning

TOWARD the creek. This developer is getting special rights and treatment.

Please do the right thing. VOTE NO.

Thank you,

Leah Boehm

M~~UID~IDYou will soon vote on pro rdinance File # 2010-0189 The proposed Ordinanceprovides no protection for the citizens of King County who live nearby. It does notreflect the previous Conditional Use Permits that control hours of noise. It would, in fact, create

G¡vye at ~ ~ ~ l; ~.JÅ (b -, l Gt'l,'l'6&U - ù ' - -, - o. W\ ()1le.The first concern is the fact that Kina County is not enforcina the current , ,conditional use oermits The fact is, with no enforcement action taken against the track for c. ~ , ~

the repeated violations of the Conditional Use Permit under which they operate, the continuedviolations reduce our quality of life, as well as the value of our properties.1. The require quiet days of Monday and Tuesday have not been observed or

enforced. I can forward to you supporting evidence of code complaints that wentnowhere. The raceway is louder than ever. They have loud racing every day ofthe week.

Dear Reagan Dunn,

2. The required posting of 1 quiet weekend day each month, May throughSeptember has not been fulfilled to date. Even though they were told to post oneday per month, nothing has happened and no one in King County enforces this.

3. The cesation of all noise by eleven PM has atso not been fulfiHed by Pac

Raceways, and they often are making noise before 9am.

Our second main concern is the proposed Ordinance, File # 2010-0189 that hasalready been read to King County Council. According to this reion's

representative council member Peter Von Reichbauer, "The propoed ordinance ISunde review by th County Councl (the ET Commitee) and th Count Exece,"

We hereby requestL That King County enforce CUP A-71-0-81 from April 30, 1985

L. That we have a voice in the making, acceptance, or rejection of thisordinance. WE DO NOT WANT TO WAIT UNTIL IT is PASSED. It needs to becorrected beforehand. There are serious issues in this proposal thatwill adversely affect the lives of hundreds of families living in and around thetrack. Moreover there is objectionable language in the ordinance as it now iswritten. The Ordinance provides NO protection for the citizens of KingCounty who live nearby.
