“Liberdade é de todas as palavras e conceitos que uso na minha vida, e por arrasto nas canções, a que mais acarinho e que mais defendo, aquela que dá ao norte a sua bússola”. A frase é de Sérgio Godinho e dirige o público para o que poderá assistir em “Liberdade” - a partir de uma canção com-posta em 1974 e publicada nesse mesmo ano no álbum “À Queima Roupa”, o “escritor de canções” revê, através do seu repertório, a vivência do Portu-gal democrático.

Of all the words and concepts I use in my life, and thus in my songs, ‘Free-dom’ is the one I cherish and stand for the most, the one that gives the north its compass. The quote is by Sérgio Godinho and it suggests what the public can expect in ‘Liberdade’ - from the song penned in 1974 and released that same year on the album ‘À Queima Roupa’, the ‘songwriter’ revisits life in a democratic Portugal through his repertoire.

Pianista autodidata, com um percurso de vida atribulado, Benjamin Clementine é um talento precoce, que cresceu inspirado em figuras como Leonard Cohen. Desde que participou no programa televisivo da BBC2 “Later...with Jools Holland” em 2013 tornou-se no artista mais partilhado no Spotify, foi distinguido com o “Best New Act” em Les Vic-toires de la Musique, esgotou espetáculos em toda a Europa e nos EUA, tocou nas primeiras partes dos concertos de artistas como Cat Power, Tune-Yards ou Woodkid e nos festivais de verão Wilderness Festival, com curadoria de Bjork e no Meltdown Festival, de David Byrne.

Self-taught pianist, with a troubled life course, Benjamin Clementine grew inspired by figures such as Leonard Cohen. Vinte anos depois, a principal prova de ralis algarvia regressa aos pisos de terra, representando uma mudança para a zona de Loulé e São Brás de Alportel. O centro nevrálgico será em Loulé, na Praça da República, onde estará localizado o Secretariado e o Parque de Partida. O rali, com 120 quilómetros cronometrados, será disputado em dois dias.

Twenty years later, the principal rally competition of the Algarve returns to the dirt tracks, having moved to Loulé and São Brás de Alportel. Action will be taking place in Loulé’s Praça da República, where reception and the start parking lot will be set. The 120-km timed rally will take place over two days.

Nesta 13.ª edição são apresentadas cerca de cem cenas em areia que re-tratam, de forma criativa, músicos, instrumentos e culturas musicais de várias partes do mundo. As peças esculpidas são acompanhadas de textos explicativos e a exposição está organizada em zonas temáticas que se in-terligam entre si, contemplando áreas de esculturas dedicadas exclusiva-mente ao pop e ao rock, à dança, ao circo, à religião ou à música infantil.

This edition will showcase around one hundred sculptures representing musicians, instruments and cultures from all over the world. Each sculpture will be accompanied by an explanatory text, and the exhibition is organised into interconnected themed areas, including some exclusively dedicated to pop and rock, dance, circus, religion and children’s music.

-Na noite de 31 de dezembro, o palco da Praia dos Pes-cadores recebe o habitual concerto junto ao mar, com um dos grandes nomes do panorama musical por-tuguês da atualidade: Anselmo Ralph. À meia-noite a música dará lugar à tradicional sessão de fogo-de--artifício. Na zona da Oura, o espetáculo de fogo-de--artifício também marcará o início de 2016. Depois disso a Avenida Dr. Francisco Sá Carneiro, acolhe a Star Parade, um desfile de artistas circenses que animam as ruas e estabelecimentos comerciais aderentes de malabarismos, acrobacias, números com fogo e mui-tas surpresas.

On the night of the 31st December, the stage set in Praia dos Pescadores will host the customary NYE sea-side concert by one of today’s greatest artists on the Portuguese music scene: Anselmo Ralph. At midnight, music will give way to the tradition fireworks display. In Oura, fireworks will also be welcoming in 2016. Then, Avenida Dr. Francisco Sá Carneiro will host the Star Parade, a circus parade which will bring enter-tainment to the streets and participanting businesses with juggling, acrobatics, fire performances and lots of surprises.
