When you look at the tall trees,the colorful flowers, and the brightsun, do you ever wonder how theyall got there?

In the beginning there was nosun, no earth, no animals and noplants! There was only darknessand water!

Quando olha para as rvores toaltas, para as flores to coloridas epara o sol brilhante, voc jperguntou como ser que tudosurgiu?Bem, no comeo no havia sol,

no havia Terra, no havia animaise nem plantas! S havia escurido e

gua!

One day, God said, let there be

light! And just like that, light

appeared! God said, I will call

the light day, and the darkness Iwill call night. And that was the

end of the very first day!

Um dia Deus disse: Que

haja luz! E a luz surgiu no

mesmo instante! Deus gostou

do que fez e disse: Vou

chamar a luz dia, e

escurido chamarei noite.

E esse foi o primeiro dia!

On the second day, God

decided to make the sky,

and as He said the words

the sky appeared. God

filled the sky with pure,fresh air!

No segundo dia Deus

decidiu fazer o cu, e

quando disse isso o cusurgiu, e Ele o encheu de

ar puro e fresco!

On the third day, God gathered the waters together. Iwill call this water the seas! God said. Then, He made dryland appear.

At Gods command, the land was covered with a carpetof beautiful green grass. Then, many different kinds of

plants, trees, and bushes sprouted from the ground! Therewere fruit trees and pine trees, blackberry bushes andcabbage plants, twining ivy vines and floating lily pads.

Each plant was perfectly formed by our wonderfulCreator.

No terceiro dia Deus juntou as guas e disse: Vou

chamar as guas de mares. E depois fez surgir a terra seca.

Quando Deus mandou, a terra ficou coberta com um

tapete lindo de grama. Depois brotaram do solo vrias

plantas, rvores e arbustos! Tinha rvores frutiferas e

pinheiros, moitas e ps de repolho, cips retorcidos e flores

flutuantes.Cada planta foi feita de forma perfeita pelonosso maravilhoso Criador.

On the fourth day, God created a huge,bright light to shine. You will be

called the sun, He said.

Then He made the moon, so that there

would be a light at night as well. And

now, God said, to fill the night with

beauty, I will make stars to fill the sky!

No quarto dia Deus criou uma luz imensa e

muito brilhante, Voc vai ser o sol, Deus

disse.

Depois fez a lua, para poder ter luz

noite tambm. E agora, Deus disse,

para embelezar o cu noturno, Eu vou

ench-lo de estrelas!

On the fifth day, God touched the seas andfilled them with life. Then God stretched outHis hand, and filled the sky withevery kind of bird. What awonderful, wonderful day!

No quinto dia Deus tocou os mares e os encheu

de seres vivos. Depois Deus estendeu a mo e

encheu o cu com mil e um tipos de pssaros.

Que beleza! Que dia mais lindo!

On the sixth day, God created all the animals that would

walk on the earth. Thats a lot of animals! God was very

busy that day with so many kinds of animals to create!

However, that wasnt the end of the sixth day. God still had

His most important creation of all to make.

No sexto dia Deus criou todos os animais que viveriam no

cho, e foram muitos! Ele teve um dia bem ocupado criando

tantos bichos! Mas o sexto dia no parou por a. Deus

ainda ia criar a coisa mais importante.
