One name...Maria Raposo and a life dedicated to interior design... a journey with so much to say can be summarized in these few words...Maria Raposo, originally from Coimbra, has shown an interest and penchant for decoration from an early age. After studying Interior Design at the acclaimed Ricardo do Espirito Santo Silva Foundation in Lisbon, she founded her own company in 1984 in Almancil, focusing on brands of unrivalled elegance and glamour.Working to the motto «Individual Choices», Maria Raposo develops her interior designs with particular attention to the wishes and to the identity of each client, without forgetting the current market trends. Having begun with projects in private homes in the Algarve’s Golden Triangle (Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo, Dunas Douradas), the elegance and sophistication of the environments created by Maria Raposo were immediately recognized outside Portugal, with Maria diversifying her portfolio with interior design for chalets in Switzerland, houses and offices in Luanda, London, Liverpool, Manchester and Dublin and even a yacht in Monaco, along with, golf country clubs and hotels.Aware of the demands of each space, Maria Raposo, has a unique plasticity presenting a bold, elegant and sophisticated yet functional style. The process is the same wherever thehouse. At the initial meeting, Maria and theclient go through piles of samples and agreeon the basic styles and colours. A secondmeeting confirms this with a selection ofsmaller items such as pictures, rugs andlamps. And then the real work begins.Obviously there has to be a personal visit tothe house, to get the feel of the place and thesurroundings, and also to take all necessarymeasurements. Curtains, bedcovers andother soft furnishings are all made in theAlgarve and shipped to Ireland as part ofthe total package, sent by a door-to-doorcarrier: this cargo is far too valuable to divertalong the way!

What better souvenir of the Algarve canthere be than to have Maria Raposo create aunique European-style interior in your ownhome – wherever that may be!
