Whether/If 

- I don´t know if I´m going to school tomorrow. (dúvida)

- He asked me if I knew the way to San Diego. (dúvida)

- If you don´t study hard, you´ll fail your test. (condição)

- I´ll let you go to the party only if you promise me you´ll be back by 11. (condição)

O if  pode ser substituído por whether nas frases que expressam d!ida:

- I don´t know whether I´m going to school tomorrow.

- He asked me whether I knew the way to San Diego

Para começar, anote aí que ‘if ‘ é comumente usado em uma estrutura !ramatica da

ín!ua in!esa con"ecida como "onditionals ou If-clauses# $ssas são sentenças que

!eramente expressam uma ideia de condição# Ou se%a, se determinado fato acontecer,
