ENGINEERINGAND PROJECTS

SALES ANDREPRESENTATIVE OFFICES

All our manufactured productshave been designed anddeveloped by our R&DDepartment.

New materials, their functionand design are progressivelybeing applied to our furnituremeeting the most rigorousstandards.

Looking for the optimal solutionfor any of our projects is thejob of our EngineeringDepartment which focuses itsattention on meeting userneeds.

The complete project for anideal job development implies:

Our sales organisation iscomprised of a central SalesDepartment in Madrid andRepresentative Offices inBarcelona, Seville, Alicante andCanary Islands.

This structure is supplementedby a network of distributors inother geographic areas.

Our salesman are always indirect and personal contactwith you both before and afteran installation is made.

A furniture distributionplan

An engineering plan forinstallation and utilitylines.

Thanks to the epoxy-polyestercoating our furniture productsremain completely unaffectedunder all types of wetconditions. The result is farsuperior to any other furnituremade using melamine coveredchipboard.

UNALTERABLE UNDERWET CONDITIONS

he concept of quality of our furniture begins with the use and processing of onlythe best raw materials.

The base of our products is ST-32 grade cold-rolled steel according to DIN 17,140standards subjected to processes that include cold rolling, degreasing and

electrolytic zinc plating, phosphate treatments, chrome plating and cold shaping.

The use of this raw material gives or furniture significant advantages over other productssuch as melamine covered chipboard or plastics, etc.:

T

The rigidity of steel gives ourfurniture far greater endurancethan timber based products. This proven by the durabilityof drawer guides and bearingsas well as sturdiness of hinges. Our furniture has an averagelifetime of 30 years.

• Registered models (Nos. 128,809 and 22,356).• Characteristics and sizes are subject to change and technical improvement.

Very often laboratories mustcarry out tasks using highlyflammable products which maylead to an occasional small fire.

Metal furniture has hugeadvantages over melaminecovered chipboard since itdoes not contribute tocombustion, toxic fumes aremuch less.

GOOD PERFORMANCE WHENEXPOSED TO HEAT OR FLAME

The epoxy-polyester paint as-sures an ideal performanceagainst chemical attack.

GREATER CHEMICALRESISTANCE

Health is fundamental in a labo-ratory. Steel prevents any typeof bacterial proliferation sincethere are no porous materialsused like those found on chip-board furniture.

Fume Cupboards

he fume cupboard is fundamental for any type of modern laboratory. Not onlyare they used for carrying out very delicate tests but also for conducting dangerousones as well. For this reason, safety in the laboratory will depend in many caseson the perfect operating conditions of the fume cupboard.

We have developed our entire range of cupboards according to the strictest ofEuropean standards which are the British Standard and the DIN Standard.

The high level of these standards assures a perfect operation in all types of laboratories.

Our wide range of cupboards allows us to adapt a model to fit every kind of job whetherthey be Equalising Cupboards, Compensating Cupboards, Ultra-Safety Cupboards orSpecialised cupboards for large assemblies, all of which provide perfect performanceand safety features.

PASSIVE SAFETY

The inside of the cabin, lined with highly fireproofpolyester, acts as a first barrier against any possiblefire or explosion that may be produced inside thecupboard.

The outside of the cabin is made of cold sheet steeland acts as a second contention barrier thus assuringthat any eventual fire does not go beyond theboundaries of the cupboard.

Weak areas in the ceiling have also been designedto yield in the case of explosion.

Control and alarm for fire prevention

A device inside the cabin will activate thealarms when an overheating situation occursdue to fire or explosion. The control device(4) allows the temperature to be regulated totrigger the alarm.

If at some time during operation, the internaltemperature were to rise above the degreespreviously set, the following operations willbe put into effect automatically:

Suction will be cut, which will activate the alarmlight indicator (2) and acoustical alarm (1).

The overheating alarm pilot (5) will beactivated.

An alarm signal will be sent to any existingsafety control centre.

Ultra-safety Control Panel

Standard Control Panel

ACTIVE SAFETY

Control of sufficient suction flow and correctopening of the sash according to BS.7258standard (3).

All the fume cupboard models can also incorporateadditional safety devices such as:

Control and alarm for reduction in suction flow

This system has an alarm light indicator (2) aswell as acoustical alarm (1) that detects areduction in the suction flow that may be dueto motor failure or clogged or fracturedconduits, etc., thus preventing the risk ofescaping fumes into the laboratory.

EQUALISING CUPBOARD COMPENSATING CUPBOARD

(Models with one piece seamless stoneware table surface)

Especially recommended for laboratories withclimate control systems, since 80% of theexpelled air is taken directly from the outsideof the laboratory, thus an imbalance in the airconditioning system will be kept to a minimumand energy will be saved as a consequence.

COMPENSATING CUPBOARDSEQUALISING CUPBOARDS

The cupboard is always creating a laminar air flowfrom the laboratory to the inside of the cupboardno matter what position the sash may be in.All air turbulence is avoided which may causetoxic fumes to escape into the laboratory.
