aromatic crops, ethnopharmacology, nutritional studies, bioassays and bioprospecting, Gender and community conservation. I have wide experience in teaching and research {field and Laboratory research} and areas of conservation, biodiversity management, resource utilization and herbal medicine preparation, processing and packaging, agriculture, education, environment, gender, health care delivery, communities and indigenous knowledge.

2. Under graduate Courses: ETB 2110: Medical Ethnobotany and Ethnopharmacology; BCB 3202: Gender and Community Conservation; Research methods; Field Attachment Coordination, Examiner and play monitoring role as the Dean.

4. Have been conducted external teaching to Collaborating Universities with Makerere University, Course Medicinal and Poisonous plants. Study in Africa by Canadian University students that we have finished in March 2007.

5. Besides teaching I supervise students’ projects and research work for the undergraduates, set exams, moderate exams, mark exams and grade the students as part of the university examinations.

RESEARCH EXPERIENCES PROJECT MANAGER I am involved in field and laboratory research in nutritional analysis and scientific validation of indigenous medicinal knowledge (IK), ethnopharmacology (antimicrobial, biosafety, tocolytic, oxytocic studies), bioactivity screening and phytochemical evaluation, gender studies, reproductive health care, domestication of herbals (ex situ conservation), socio-cultural and economic dimensions. This is evidenced by the publications and research grants won. During research has been playing the leadership role as a team leader or project coordinator e.g. SIDA 2010-2014, MSI project 2009-2014 (CORE TEAM MEMBER), Carnegie 2009-2011, NORAD 2006-2009, VICRES 2007-2012, UNESCO-MAB (Man and Biosphere 2000-2002), AICAD Project 2003-2005, etc. RESEARCH AWARDS

2. Coordination and Link person for the donation of water tanks for rain water harvesting with matching grants from Rotary Uganda, Rotary Norway and Rotary International 2008-2009 at the initiation of WOSNED Women in Norway to Mothers Union Group in Kibingo Parish Church of Uganda, Ankole Diocese, Mbarara.

3. Pilot project collaborating with UMB University of Norway and Makerere University to try out community based interventions in reproductive health care with Traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs) by supplying Maama Kits and Rain water harvesting at health centres-2007.

4. Consultant to UNDP Uganda Office for two months in January-February 2005. The UNDP Country Office of Ethiopia, together with the government of Ethiopia organized a study tour to Uganda for Government counterparts who deal and work on the $4.5 m UNDP’s Environment and Sustainable Dry Land Management programme (CCF2). The team visited various environmental and agricultural institutions/projects in Uganda and travelled to upcountry projects in natural resources management.

5. Medical Ethnobotany Consultant in THETA (Traditional and Modern Health Practitioners Together against AIDS and other diseases, Oct.-Dec.2004. Project writing, medicinal plants domestication, training resource users and healers on herbal medicine preparation, processing, packaging and conservation and offering technical information in meetings and seminars of THETA.

and National level. 5. New programmes writing in the school of Biosciences. 6. Initiated and started English service In Kibingo Parish and its growing in Numbers steadily. 7. Together with my external research friends from Norway, Mother Union of Kibingo Church of

Uganda (fruit growing & rainwater harvesting), Rwakishakizi Health Centre II (build house for staff) and Nyakayojo Sub-county Traditional Birth Attendants(trainings, referral systems and record keeping, medicinal plants growing, goats rearing) have benefited in various ways and still continuing to benefit.

8. One of the Founder Members of Christ Community Church Mutungo, Under Bugolobi Church of Uganda and now it has expanded to a full level capacity as church.

9. Has capacity to initiate new projects, start them and mother them to maturity. For Instance, conceived and started MAMITA Enterprises in 2006 and it has since then expanded into a School (MAMITA STANDARD Nursery and Primary School and MAMITA Herbals (now making products out of nutritional and medicinal natural resources). Now famous in exhibitions and treating particular human diseases. It will expanding further.
