pARADOXES oF tHE pUBLIC aRTaRT iN pUBLIC sPACES
In a beautiful afternoon the future was gone. When we get up it
wasn't there any more!Well, everyone knows that the future is open,
that there are alternative futures, all equally capable of becoming
the present. Thedefinition of the future is its own
potentiality.But, unless an road accident happens , there is no
great potentiality in a motorway, travelling has became safer,
faster,comfortable but incredible monotonousness, one of the most
challenging thing to do in the last century has become a
mereobligation to reach an end.
The construction of this paradoxical fragment of motorway,
pretends to accentuate the conscience of common-place and
therecognition psycho-geographic of the place, or
non-place.Stimulating the memory, in a road to nowhere, a road were
space only, and not time, folds over it self, giving place to
repetitionand to a non-place, a place with no memory, that can be
covered over and over again.
Our propose to the moving spectator is about a reflection of the
human condition in the world, and it's possibles futures.
Using the ready - made universal language of the roads and its
signs, we also expect to take the spectator to question
theaesthetic value of the motorway as a human construction.
