  • Por outro lado, como os homens idosos compem famlias mais numerosas e com maior nmero de dependentes, a distribuio da renda familiar per-capita de idosos homens e mulheres similar Cedeplar/UFMG Gnero e Previdncia

  • As mulheres participam menos do que os homens do mercado de trabalho e seus rendimentos so sensivelmente inferiores.

    A previdncia social reproduz essas diferenas, pagando benefcios maiores aos homens.

    A redistribuio das rendas no interior das famlias tende a compensar as mulheres, j que os homens idosos formam famlias com um maior nmero de dependentes.
