programados.

As

As

INGLES

SAP Trader’s and Scheduler’s Workbench (T.S.W) is used to monitor current and future supply chain

activity, including all trading, inventory, and scheduled movements.

1- TSW helps you manage the supply, demand, and transportation requirements in the midstream

(crude, feedstocks, and gas transmission) and primary distribution (refined products) sectors for all

bulk transports. It also helps you manage them throughout the complete process life cycle – from deal to cash, including planning, scheduling, and execution.

2- TSW integrates market demand information, planned and nominated bulk movements,

production data, consumption forecasts, and replenishment forecasts. Open interfaces allow you to

communicate nominations and confirmations in both directions with external partners, such as pipeline operators and customers.

3- SAP TSW incorporates a set of tools that work together and use the same master data.

4- Technically part of the SAP for Oil & Gas solution portfolio, TSW is completely integrated with the

mySAP ERP solution and the SAP Advanced Planning & Optimization (SAP APO) component. This

integration means your planning, scheduling, and execution processes all run in the same landscape,

guaranteeing data reliability, real-time data availability, data transparency, and the absence of data redundancy.

5- With TSW as a communication platform for you and your business partners, you create a

foundation for collaboration all along the supply chain. Many different transaction screens and

functions enable schedulers and others involved in supply chain operations to view and manage all

relevant activities. They can also look ahead to build plans for the future and look back into the past to analyze history. This provides key decision-support capabilities for managing future operations.

6- TSW touches all aspects of the scheduler’s workflow, and it provides

various integration and interface points to communicate with both internal and external systems

and parties. All tools – from nomination to scheduling to freight contracts and ticketing – are

integrated with one another, so you only have to enter data once. Because of the intuitive

configuration of SAP Trader’s and Scheduler’s Workbench and its master data settings, some data

does not have to be entered at all because it can be inferred by the software. In addition, all

information is fully transparent and made available in numerous formats across the full range of scheduling and shipping transactions.

Find out what you need to know about SAP Trader’s and Scheduler’s Workbench, which SAP offers

for the oil and gas industry. See how this planning tool helps you to be a differentiator in this world of high volumes and low margins.

Key Concept

SAP Trader’s and Scheduler’s Workbench (TSW) integrates with your SAP ERP or R/3 system. The

scheduling tools in SAP TSW help you improve cash flow, lower your inventory, minimize transfers

between locations, and realize revenues faster by facilitating collaboration between traders and schedulers.

Oil and gas organizations offer significant system support for better trading. The margins per trade

are always in focus and companies constantly must improve on these margins. Conversely,

scheduling depends on individual judgments and historical patterns and typically happens in a

predetermined manner. In general, scheduling lacks the financial visibility to maximize gains from the trade deals.

Most organizations evaluate trading and scheduling separately instead of looking at the entire chain

of events as part of one activity. Traders and schedulers work independently on day-to-day trading

or scheduling decisions. This limits an organization’s ability to sense and respond to opportunities

and threats. Furthermore, the disparate IT systems reduce the visibility on the scheduling and

trading actions. Instead, traders and schedulers share knowledge only in interpersonal discussions or meetings, an inefficient process.

To address this gap, SAP offers SAP Trader’s and Scheduler’s Workbench (TSW) for the SAP Oil & Gas

industry solution to allow traders and schedulers to work together. Available from R/3 4.6C onward,

SAP TSW manages current and future demand, supply, and transportation information. The different

tools in TSW offer cockpit views for efficient scheduling in different scenarios.

I’ll walk you through a typical oil and gas IT landscape to show you what it looks like with and

without SAP TSW. Then I’ll explain some of SAP TSW’s features, such as three -way pegging and the

stock projection worksheet. Finally, I’ll highlight some of the business effects you can achieve when

your SAP TSW implementation is complete. For more information about SAP TSW, refer to the “Additional Information” sidebar below.

Unit 5 Marine Scenario Unit Overview Schedulers in AOIL plan marine voyages weeks in advance to ensure that they can fulfill long-term, contract-based demands for crude from different customers at various locations worldwide. In case of overhead capacity on the chartered ship or to meet peek demands, spot contracts are negotiated by the trader and provided to the scheduler. Incoterms on the contract provide information on liability for the intransit stock and who of the involved business partners is paying the cost related to the voyages (fees, freight, insurance, and so on). The scenario covered in the Exercise is a combination of a FOB purchase at two different origins, a partial transfer into own stock at one destination, and a DES sales to a customer at a second destination location. Once a movement is executed, a ticket is created and the movement is posted in the ERP System. To reflect the inventory situation as closely as possible in the system, tickets are generated with preliminary volumes. As soon as the final value is received, the ticket is corrected with the new quantity. This is done in the exercise in one example using the ticket correction functionality.
