Raoul Goes to the Beach.

In1890, Raoul was twenty-one. He was a handsome and intelligent young man. In the spring, he went to Paris. He went to live there with his brother, Philippe. Philippe was forty-one. He was a rich and important man. He knew many important people in Paris. He knew the manager of The Opera House. And he knew many famous singers. One evening, Philippe spoke to his brother. “I want to go to The Opera House tonight, my favorite singer sings tonight. Her name is Carlotta.”

“I want to hear her voice,” said Raoul.

They went to The Opera House and Raoul fell in love with Carlotta. He spoke to her and invited her to the beach. On the next day, Carlotta and Raoul went to the beach together. They had breakfast and Raoul kissed her. Carlotta was a singer and Raoul was a painter. He painted her on a rock and he painted her on a chair. The paintings were fantastic!

They are still together and they live in a little house on the beach in Paris.
