Igreja Santo Antônio localizada no Morro Rubião Júnior.

O povoamento de Botucatu teve início entre o Ribeirão Lavapés e a Praça Coronel Moura, local onde havia a maior concentração da tribo dos índios caiouás. Acredita-se, que o local teria sido rota de passagem no Caminho do Peabiru, que era uma tri-lha indígena, que ligava o litoral atlântico às terras peruanas.

Em 1766, o governador da capitania, Dom Luís Antonio de Sousa Botelho Mourão ordenou o come-ço do povoamento de origem europeia na localidade, com a instalação do paulista Simão Barbosa Franco.

Só em 1830, que o local apresentou os primeiros sinais de desenvolvimento, com a chegada de fazen-deiros para ocupar a ‘cuesta’, que ainda era desabi-tada. Já em 23 de dezembro de 1843, o capitão José

Gomes Pinheiro Veloso criou o Patrimônio da Fre-guesia de Sant’Anna de Botucatu, em terras doadas para essa finalidade.

Em 19 de fevereiro de 1846 foi criada a Freguesia do Distrito do Cima da Serra de Botucatu e em 14 de abril de 1855, a Freguesia foi elevada à categoria de Vila, com sua emancipação político-administrati-va. No dia 20 de abril de 1866 foi criada a Comarca de Botucatu e a elevação da Vila à cidade ocorreu em 16 de março de 1876.

Há muitas lendas e mistérios que até hoje envolve a cidade de Botucatu, que vem de “ybytukatu”, que em tupi significa “vento bom”, pela junção dos ter-mos “ybytu” = ar, vento e “katu” = bom. No entanto, também existe uma outra versão para o significado

do nome da cidade, que significaria “serra boa”, pela junção dos termos tupi “ybytyra” = montanha, serra e “katu” = bom / boa.

As lendas

A região onde foi fundada a cidade é por muitos considerada mística. São tantas as lendas que per-meiam Botucatu, que muitos acreditam ser ali um lugar mágico.

O Caminho de Peabiru, que era rota de passagem é tido como um local onde teria sido realizado mui-tos rituais religiosos de diversos povos. A cidade tam-bém tem um conjunto de rochas, conhecidas como “Três Pedras”, que vista de longe lembra um gigante deitado e que era palco de antigos rituais. Até hoje muitas pessoas utilizam o local como um retiro es-piritual.

Outra lenda que permeia o imaginário popular é de que, a cidade é o local onde mora o conhecido personagem do folclore brasileiro “Saci”. A partir daí, o município passou a ser conhecida como a Capital Nacional do Saci, contando inclusive com a instalação de uma Associação Nacional de Cria-dores de Saci.

HISTORY

The Botucatu population began between Ribeirão Lavapés and Praça Coronel Moura, where there was the highest concentration of caiouás Indians tribe. It is believed that the place would have been crossing route in the Caminho de Peabiru, which was an Indian trail, which linked the Atlantic coast to the Peruvian lands.

In 1766, the governor of the captaincy, Bishop Luís Antonio de Sousa Botelho Mourão ordered the European origin population start in the town, with the installation of the São Paulo Simão Barbosa Franco.

Only in 1830, the location showed the first signs of development, with the arrival of farmers to occupy the ‘cuesta’, which was still uninhabited. Already in December 23, 1843, Captain José Gomes Pinheiro Veloso created the Patrimônio da Freguesia de Sant’Anna de Botucatu, on lands donated for this purpose.

On February 19, 1846 the Freguesia do Distrito do Cima da Serra de Botucatu was created and on April 14, 1855, the Freguesia was elevated to Village, with its political and administrative emancipation. On 20 April 1866, the County of Botucatu was established and the elevation of the Village to city took place on March 16, 1876.

There are many legends and mysteries that even today surrounds the city of Botucatu, which comes from “ybytukatu”, which in Tupi means “good wind”, by attaching the terms “ybytu” = air, wind and “katu” = good. However, there is also another version for the meaning of the city name meaning “good mountain”, the junction of the Tupi words “ybytyra” = mountain, and mountain range “katu” = good.

The legends

Another legend that permeates the popular imagination is that the city is where the famous character of Brazilian folklore “Saci” lives. Since then, the city became known as the Saci National Capital, counting on the installation of a National Association of Saci Breeders.

Quais as principais transformações pela qual a cidade passou nesses últimos anos, em que o senhor esteve à frente da prefeitura?

A nossa prioridade é a sociedade. Nós temos um pacto social com a população de Botucatu, com o seu bem estar e temos a sensibilidade para ouvir as suas necessidades. O nosso governo mantém um pacto social. Nós trabalhamos para garantir a qualidade de vida da população. Botucatu vem crescendo muito e se destacando cada vez mais em todo o Estado de São Paulo, como uma cidade segura, com excelente qualidade de vida e em pleno desenvolvimento.

Neste ano, quais setores estão sen-do priorizados?

Os investimentos têm ocorrido em todos os seto-res, mas de forma mais vigorosa nas chamadas áreas sociais. Na saúde vamos completar a reestruturação que começamos a desenhar em 2009. Essa área con-tinuará recebendo atenção especial. Recentemente entregamos à população dois novos hospitais, um geral e o outro para tratar os dependentes quími-cos, ampliando consideravelmente a capacidade de atendimento na cidade. Também desapropriamos e reabrimos o antigo Hospital Sorocabano (atual Hos-

pital do Bairro), que hoje abriga um pronto socorro pediátrico, com atendimento exclusivo para crian-ças e adolescentes. Ainda este ano vamos colocar em funcionamento outros equipamentos públicos importantes como o AME (Ambulatório Médico de Especialidades), o Centro Lucy Montoro e a UPA (Unidade de Pronto Atendimento). Nós também iremos investir em biotecnologia, no Parque Tecno-lógico e na área da educação, para melhorar cada vez mais a nossa nota no Índice de Desenvolvimento da Educação Básica (IDEB).

Botucatu tem uma natureza ri-quíssima. Quais ações estão sendo realizadas para desenvolver o potencial turístico da cidade?

Na nossa primeira administração nós lançamos o Programa “Botucatu Terra da Aventura”, que traba-lha a grande beleza natural do município, em par-ceria com todo o trade turístico. A cidade tem um grande potencial turístico que nós começamos a ex-plorar. A restauração da estação ferroviária, que está a pleno vapor, também nos permitirá, em um futuro próximo, viabilizar o projeto de um trem turístico na cidade, que tem grande tradição ferroviária. Tam-bém estamos fazendo um grande investimento em parceria com a Sabesp, da ordem de R$ 5 milhões, para implantação do sistema de esgotamento sani-tário na região dos balneários como o Rio Bonito, Mina, Porto Said. Essa é uma área com grande po-tencial para atrair grandes investimentos, assim que essa infraestrutura básica estiver instalada.


Qual a principal atividade econô-mica do município?

A indústria. Logo depois vem o comércio e o se-tor de serviços cresceu muito nos últimos anos. Nós também temos um importante setor de agronegócio, com a presença forte de plantação de eucaliptos e a de fruticultura. Outro setor que também vem ga-nhando espaço na economia local é o turismo, que a cada ano cresce consideravelmente. Para tanto, a cidade está se estruturando. Três novos hotéis de grandes bandeiras estão se instalando na cidade, o que ampliará a oferta de acomodações. O turismo de aventura cresceu extraordinariamente pelo fato de Botucatu passar a sediar grandes competições de ci-clismo, motocross, corrida, trekking, duatlhon e voo livre. Além disso, a presença da Unesp também é um diferencial em nossa economia, que ajudou a conso-lidar a cidade como um centro médico e de pesquisa dos mais importantes do país.

O senhor poderia nos dizer como a cidade se preparou ou está se preparando para atrair novos investimentos?

com a melhoria constante dos indicadores sociais que nos permitem oferecer oportunidades com qua-lidade de vida diferenciada. Temos muitos empresá-rios optando por transferir suas operações para Bo-tucatu porque aqui podem contar, ao mesmo tempo, com a tranquilidade e a segurança de cidades me-nores e os recursos que normalmente só encontram nos grandes centros. Botucatu foi eleita pela terceira vez consecutiva, a cidade mais segura para se viver, segundo pesquisa realizada pela Secretaria de Segu-rança Pública do Estado; além de ser bicampeã do Prêmio Município Verde-Azul. Esse cenário torna a cidade o local ideal para se investir. Um benefício importante que nossa administração ajudou a viabi-lizar foi a chegada do gás natural como fonte alterna-tiva de energia. Esse é um diferencial que nos garante competitividade no tocante a atração de novos ne-gócios. Na área da inovação e pesquisa, outro marco foi a inauguração do nosso Parque Tecnológico, que nos permitirá atrair empresas de base tecnológica. Também estamos construindo um novo Distrito In-dustrial e investimos muito na qualificação do nosso cidadão, através da UNIT (Universidade do Traba-lhador), formando mão de obra qualificada para os mais diversos setores. e a população em geral é que trouxe prosperidade e desenvolvimento para nossa cidade.

Quais os principais projetos para 2016?

Em 2016 vamos fechar um ciclo de oito anos que promoveu uma grande revolução na cidade. Botu-catu é hoje, inegavelmente, uma das cidades mais prósperas do estado de São Paulo e do Brasil. Mas ainda temos grandes desafios a serem superados. Na Educação fizemos um esforço gigantesco que nos permitirá finalmente zerar a fila de espera por vagas em creche em praticamente todos os setores da ci-dade. Vamos entregar novas escolas no Cedro, em Rubião Júnior e no Santa Elisa. Na Saúde, vamos vencer nosso principal gargalo que é o atendimen-

to especializado, com a inauguração do AME e de um novo ambulatório de especialidades na Unesp. Deixaremos a prefeitura com a expressiva marca de ser o governo que mais construiu casas popu-lares na história de Botucatu. Na área da Cultura teremos a inauguração da Pinacoteca, a primeira no interior paulista. Outros projetos que merecem destaque são a primeira etapa da duplicação da ro-dovia Gastão Dal Farra, a restauração da estação ferroviária, a construção de ciclovias e a inaugu-ração dos centros de tecnologia e inclusão e pa-radesportivo, voltados ao atendimento de pessoas com deficiência. Alguns dos principais corredores comerciais da cidade como a Amando de barros, Avenida Dom Lúcio e Avenida Vital Brasil serão revitalizados. Vamos deixar para nosso sucessor uma cidade muito melhor.

What are the main transformation through which the city overcame these last years when you were the mayor?

Our priority is the society. We have a social pact with the population of Botucatu, with their well-being and we have the sensitivity to listen to their needs. Our government maintains a social pact. We work to ensure life quality of the population. Botucatu is growing a lot and standing out increasingly throughout the state of São Paulo, as a safe city with excellent life quality and in full development.

For this year, what sectors are being prioritized?

Investments have been occurring in all sectors, but more vigorously in the so-called social areas. In Health, we will complete the restructuring we started designing in 2009. This area will continue to receive special attention. Recently we delivered two new hospitals to the population, a general and the other to treat drug addicts, considerably expanding the service capacity in the city. We also expropriated and reopened the old Hospital Sorocabano (now Hospital do Bairro), which now houses a pediatric emergency room, with exclusive service for children and teenagers. Later this year we are also going to put into operation other important public facilities such as the AME (Ambulatory Medical Specialties), Lucy Montoro Centre and the UPA (Emergency Unit). We will also invest in biotechnology, in the Technological Park and in the area of education, to constantly improve our score on the Development Index of Basic Education (IDEB).

Botucatu has an extremely rich nature. What actions are being undertaken to develop the tourism potential of the city?

At our first administration, we launched the program “Botucatu Adventure Land (Botucatu Terra da Aventura)” which works the great natural beauty of the city, in partnership with all the tourist trade. The city has a great tourism potential that we started exploring. The restoration of the railway station, which is in full swing, will also enable us in the near future, enabling the design of a tourist train in the city, which has great railway tradition. We are also making a major investment in partnership with Sabesp, of R$ 5 million, for the implementation of sanitary sewage system in the region of seaside resorts such as the Rio Bonito, Mina, Porto Said. This is an area with great potential to attract large investments as soon as this basic infrastructure is installed.

What is the major economic activity of the city?

The industry. Right after it, there comes the trade and the service sectors, which has grown in recent years. We also have an important agribusiness sector, with the strong presence of eucalyptus plantation and fruit growing. Another sector that is also gaining space in the local economy is the tourism, which each year grows considerably. Therefore, the city is being structured. Three new large flags hotels are being installed in the city, which will increase the supply of accommodations. The adventure tourism has grown tremendously because Botucatu started hosting major

In the following interview, the mayor talks about investments in health, education and economic development; among others.

Could you tell us how the city has prepare dor is being prepared to attract new investments?

Combining infrastructure investments with the constant improvement of social indicators that enable us to deliver opportunities with differentiated life quality. We have many entrepreneurs choosing to transfer their operations to Botucatu because here they can count, at the same time, with the tranquility and safety of smaller cities and the resources they usually only find in large cities. Botucatu was elected for the third time in a row, the safest city to live, according to a survey conducted by the Public Safety Department of the State; besides being Green-Blue City Award bichampion. This scenario makes the city an ideal place to invest. An important benefit that our administration helped enabling the arrival of natural gas as an alternative energy source. This is a differential that ensures the competitiveness in respect of attracting new business. In the area of innovation and research, another milestone was the opening of our Technological Park, which will allow us to attract technology-based companies. We are also building a new industrial district and we invest a lot in the qualification of our citizens through the UNIT (Worker University (Universidade do Trabalhador)), forming skilled work force to the most diverse sectors. The synergy that exists today among the government, the private sector, the third sector and the general population is what brought prosperity and development to our city.

What are the major projects for 2016?

In 2016, we will close an eight-year cycle, which promoted a major revolution in the city. Botucatu is now undeniably one of the most prosperous cities of the state of São Paulo and Brazil. However, we still have major challenges to overcome. In Education, we made a huge effort, which finally will allow us to reset the waiting lists for places in day care in practically all sectors of the city. We will deliver new schools at Cedro in Rubião Junior and Santa Elisa. In Health, are going to win our main bottleneck that is the specialized care, with the inauguration of the AME and a new ambulatory of specialties at Unesp. We will leave the City Hall with the significant milestone of being the government that built more popular houses in Botucatu history. In the area of culture, we will have the opening of Pinacoteca, the first in São Paulo countryside. Other projects that are worth mentioning are the first step of doubling Gastão Dal Farra highway, the restoration of the railway station, the construction of cycle paths and the opening of technology centers and inclusion and para-sports, for the attendance of people with disabilities. Some of the major commercial hallways of the city as Amando de Barros, Dom Lúcio Avenue and Vital Brazil Avenue will be revitalized. We are going leave a much better city to our successor.

industriais, fitoterápicos, sistemas de produção agro-pecuários sustentáveis, produtos orgânicos, biorre-mediação (uso de microorganismos para recuperação de áreas contaminadas), controle biológico, serviços ambientais, caracterização e uso de resíduos; o Par-que Tecnológico está trabalhando a todo o vapor.

Ele é o local ideal para promover novas descober-tas, a partir da interação entre as universidades e cen-tros de pesquisas, com as empresas. Dessa forma, no-vos conhecimentos e descobertas irão gerar negócios, que contribuirão para a geração de emprego e renda para a população.

salas de espera, recepção, copa, área de atendimento, hall, sanitários, dois anfiteatros e auditório com capa-cidade para 190 pessoas.

O local é credenciado e faz parte do Sistema Pau-lista de Parques Tecnológicos (SPTec), que compõe o Sistema Paulista de Ambientes de Inovação (SPAI); do qual apenas 13 municípios são integrantes. O que o torna apto para receber incentivos fiscais, como o Pró-Parques e a manter convênio com o Estado de São Paulo.

A gestão do local é feita pela Associação Parque Tecnológico Botucatu. O Parque é uma conquista sem precedentes para a cidade.

Universidade do Trabalhador (Unit)

A Universidade do Trabalhador de Botucatu dis-ponibiliza cursos de qualificação profissional total-mente gratuitos para a população.

Fruto de uma parceria entre a prefeitura de Bo-tucatu, através da sua Subsecretaria Municipal de Ciência e Tecnologia e o Serviço Nacional de Apren-dizagem Industrial (Senai); a Unit é muito procura-da pela população que busca ter uma profissão para voltar ao mercado de trabalho.

Centro de Convenções

Em uma área de 2 milhões de m², a prefeitura de Botucatu pretende instalar um distrito industrial, comercial e residencial. Lá, também será implantado um Centro de Convenções.

O local escolhido para a implantação desse gran-dioso projeto fica às margens da Rodovia João Hi-pólito Martins (SP-209), a Castelinho; próximo a ponte do rio Pardo. A previsão é de que o novo local de eventos da cidade já esteja em funcionamento no próximo ano ou o mais tardar em 2018.

Botucatu Technological Park

Elaborated to promote the social economic and sustainable development, by fostering technological innovation in bioprocesses, using biological systems, components and derived from living organisms for the manufacture of medicaments. As well as medical and hospital supplies, compounds for industrial purposes, herbal medicines, sustainable agricultural production systems, organic products, bioremediation

The site is accredited and is part of the São Paulo System of Technological Parks (Sistema Paulista de Parques Tecnológicos) (SPTec), which makes up the Sao Paulo Environments Innovation System (Sistema Paulista de Ambientes de Inovação) (SPAI); from which only 13 municipalities are members. What makes it able to receive tax incentives, such as the Pro-Parks (Pró-Parques) and maintain agreement with the State of São Paulo.

The place is managed by Associação Parque Tecnológico Botucatu. The Park is an achievement with no precedents for the city.

Universidade do Trabalhador (Unit)

Botucatu’s Universidade do Trabalhador provides professional training courses completely free of charge to the population.

Result of a partnership between Botucatu City Hall, through its Municipal Secretariat for Science and Technology and the National Service of Industrial Education (Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Industrial) (Senai); the Unit is highly sought after by people seeking to have a job to return to the labor market.

The available courses are MAG welder, with workload of 168 hours; Installer Electrician, a workload of 160 hours; Harness Assembler Electrician, with workload of 160 hours and Quality Inspector, with workload of 168 hours, plus the Dimensional Control and Automotive Mechanic Auxiliary courses.

Convention Center

In an area of 2 million m², the city of Botucatu intends to install an industrial, commercial and residential district. A convention center will also be implemented there.

The site chosen for the implementation of this magnificent project is near the Rodovia João Hipólito Martins (SP-209), Castelinho; near the Pardo river bridge. It is expected that the new events site already in operation next year or at the latest in 2018.

Creche do Comércio

A Creche do Comércio é uma inovação da prefei-tura de Botucatu. Pensada para atender os filhos das mães que trabalham no comércio, ela é um grande sucesso na cidade.

As novas instalações do Centro de Educação In-fantil (CEI) “Claudeval Luciano da Silva”, mais co-nhecido como a Creche do Comércio, por atender aos filhos de trabalhadores do comércio, já foi entre-gue à população.

Com essa mudança, o número de crianças atendi-das foi ampliado. Agora, a creche funciona na Rua Cardoso de Almeida, 555, onde antes funcionava a Secretaria Municipal de Assistência Social. O prédio

passou por uma reforma para se adequar às necessi-dades das crianças.

O local conta com berçários e salas para as crian-ças maiores, espaço externo amplo para as ativida-des, com tanque de areia, playground, solário, sala de convivência, pomar e um setor administrativo.

Por atender aos filhos dos trabalhadores do co-mércio, seu horário é diferenciado. Ela funciona de segunda a sexta-feira, das 8 às 18h30 e aos sábados, das 8h30 às 17h30. A prefeitura de Botucatu tam-bém conta com o Centro de Educação Infantil “Ruy Amado Piozzi”, na Vila dos Lavradores, que também atende aos filhos dos trabalhadores do comércio.

Padaria da merenda escolar


Núcleo de Atendimento Pedagógico Especializado (NAPE)

Vinculado a Secretaria Municipal de Educação, o Núcleo de Atendimento Pedagógico Especializado (NAPE) “Alcyr de Oliveira” completou dez anos de atividades direcionadas aos alunos com deficiência visual e auditiva.

No NAPE são oferecidos cursos de: inglês, mu-sicalização, mobilidade, fonoaudiologia e avaliações psicológicas. O local conta com salas de recursos de linguagem Braille e de Linguagem Brasileira de Si-nais (LIBRAS) e com equipamentos específicos para atender às necessidades dos alunos, como computa-dores com softwares apropriados para os deficientes visuais, entre outros.

Padaria da Merenda Escolar

Responsável pela produção diária de 23 mil pães, a Padaria da Merenda Escolar “Eduardo Henrique D’Arruiz” agora está instalada em um novo espaço.

Mais amplo e funcional, o novo local conta com 297,70 m² e com novos utensílios para otimizar o trabalho. Os pães produzidos são entregues nas esco-las, projetos sociais e organizações. São pães de batata doce, milho, cenoura, integral, mandioca e leite, que agradam o paladar dos botucatuenses.

Aulas gratuitas de ballet, dança contemporânea e sapateado

A Casa da Juventude “Professor Vinício Aloise” oferece aulas gratuitas de ballet, dança contemporâ-nea e sapateado.

Localizada na antiga Estação Ferroviária de Bo-tucatu, as aulas são destinadas à faixa etária de 8 a 20 anos e realizadas todas as terças e quintas-feiras, das 17h30 às 18h30 e das 19h30 às 20h30; para o ballet. As aulas de dança contemporânea e sapateado são realizadas as quintas-feiras, pela manhã para os adultos, das 9h às 10h e das 10 às 11h e no período da tarde para as crianças, das 14h30 às 15h30 e das 15h30 às 16h30.

Creche do Comércio is an innovation of Botucatu City Hall. Prepared to assist children of mothers who work in the commerce, it is a great success in the city.

The new facilities of the Children Education Center (CEC) (Centro de Educação Infantil (CEI)) “Claudeval Luciano da Silva”, best known as Creche do Comércio, for assisting the children of commerce workers, has already been delivered to the population.

With this change, the number of assisted children was expanded. Now, the daycare runs on Rua Cardoso de Almeida, 555, where once ran the Municipal Secretariat of Social Assistance. The building underwent a renovation to suit the needs of children.

Linked to the Municipal Department of Education, the Center for Pedagogical Specialized Care (CPSC) (Núcleo de Atendimento Pedagógico Especializado (NAPE)) “Alcyr de Oliveira” completed tem years of activities direcited to students with visual and hearing impairment.

At CPSC (NAPE), the following courses are offered: English, music education, mobility, speech therapy and psychological assessments. The place has resource rooms of Braille language and Brazilian Signs Language (LIBRAS) and specific equipment to assist the students

School Meals Bakery

Responsible for the daily production of 23 thousand breads, the School Meals Bakery “Eduardo Henrique D’Arruiz” is now installed in a new place.

Wider and functional, the new location has 297.70 m² and new tools to optimize work. The produced breads are delivered at the schools, social projects and organizations. There are sweet potato bread, corn bread, carrot bread, whole wheat bread, cassava bread and milk bread that pleases the taste of the botucatuenses.

Ballet, contemporary dance and tap dance free classes

The Youth House “Professor Vinício Aloise” offers free classes of ballet, contemporary dance and tap dance.

Located in the old Botucatu Railway Station, the classes are intended to the age range from 8 years old to 20 years old and they take place every Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., for ballet. The contemporary dance and tap dance classes take place on Thursdays, in the morning for adults, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.; and for the children, in the afternoons, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

UNESP Botucatu

Botucatu é dotada de uma boa infraestrutura na área da saúde. A cidade conta com uma notável rede de atendimento público disponibilizada pelo Hospi-tal das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina de Botu-catu (HCFMB).

Para continuar oferecendo um atendimento de qualidade à população, que procura o HCFMB, o hospital vem investindo na infraestrutura do local. Ao todo serão mais de 19 mil m², que passará por reformas e/ou construção.

Entre as obras programadas estão as reformas das duas salas de exame da Hemodinâmica e Angiografia Digital e das salas de exame da Medicina Nuclear. Além da reforma e ampliação da Unidade de Terapia Intensiva (UTI) Neonatal e a reforma da Unidade de

Cuidados Intermediários (UCI). Bem como a cons-trução do refeitório e vestiário central, ampliação da sala de espera da Tomografia, Medicina Nuclear e Ressonância Magnética, a construção do Ambulató-rio Médico de Especialidades, com oito pavimentos e o Ambulatório Médico de Especialidades de dois pavimentos.

Sala de Situação, Coordenação e Controle ao Aedes Aegypti

Com a proliferação indiscriminada do mosquito Aedes Aegypti em todo o país, Botucatu não ficou de braços cruzados e foi para o combate. A prefeitu-ra da cidade, através da sua Secretaria Municipal de Saúde implantará a Sala de Situação, Coordenação e Controle ao mosquito.

A exterminação do Aedes Aegypti, que é transmis-sor do vírus da dengue, zika e da febre chikungunya é um grande desafio em todos os municípios brasi-leiros. O objetivo da Sala de Situação é mobilizar a população para o seu combate.

No mês de fevereiro deste ano, a Secretaria Muni-cipal de Saúde de Botucatu contratou mais 20 agen-tes de combate a endemias, que foram aprovados em concurso público. Essa é mais uma ação para comba-ter o mosquito transmissor.

Bom Prato Saúde

O Bom Prato Saúde é uma nova versão do já exis-tente Programa Bom Prato, do Estado de São Paulo. A diferença principal é que esse novo modelo, além de oferecer refeições de baixo custo, também a dispo-nibiliza com um alto valor nutricional.

Essa é a primeira unidade do Bom Prato Saúde. Ele foi instalado no campus da Unesp, no bairro Ru-bião Júnior, no prédio onde antes funcionava o ar-quivo médico do Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina de Botucatu (HCFMB). O restauran-te funciona de segunda a sexta-feira, sendo servidos diariamente 300 cafés da manhã, no valor de R$ 0,50 cada e dentro do período das 7h às 9h e 1,5 mil almoços no valor de R$ 1,00 cada, que são servidos a partir das 11h até o fim da cota diária das refeições.

Esse novo modelo do Programa Bom Prato é específico para atender a população que está pas-sando por algum tratamento médico, por isso em Botucatu, os grandes beneficiados com a sua implan-tação são os usuários do HCFMB.

Botucatu is endowed with a good infrastructure in health. The city has a remarkable network of public service provided by Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina de Botucatu (HCFMB).

To keep providing quality service to the population, who seeks HCFMB, the hospital has been investing in local infrastructure. In total, there will be over 19,000 m², which will undergo renovations and / or construction.

Among the scheduled works, there are the renovations of the two examination rooms of the Hemodynamics and Digital Angiography and Nuclear Medicine exam rooms. In addition to the renovation and expansion of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the

renovation of the Intermediate Care Unit (ICU). The extermination of Aedes Aegypti, which is the transmitter of the dengue and zika virus and chikungunya fever, is a major challenge in all Brazilian municipalities. The purpose of the Situation Room is mobilizing the population to combat it.

This February, the Municipal Department of Health Botucatu hired 20 more agents to combat endemic diseases, which were approved in a public examination. This is another action to combat the transmitter mosquito.

Bom Prato Saúde

Bom Prato Saúde is a new version of the existing Bom Prato Program, of the State of São Paulo. The main difference is that this new model, in addition to offering low cost meals, it also provides them with a high nutritional value.

This is the first unit of Bom Prato Saúde. It was established at the campus of Unesp in Rubião Junior neighborhood, in the building where once worked the medical file of the Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina de Botucatu (HCFMB). The restaurant is open Monday to Friday, being served daily: 300 breakfasts in the amount of R$ 0.50 each and in the period from 7 am to 9 am; and 1.500 lunches in the amount of R$ 1.00 each, which are served from 11am until the end of the daily quota of meals.

This new model of the Bom Prato Program is specific to serve the population which is undergoing any medical treatment, that is why in Botucatu, the great beneficiaries of its implementation are the users of HCFMB.
